System requirements
To run Fone Folio's PC client software, your computer must have one of the following Windows™ operating systems:
- Windows 98SE/Me
- Windows 2000 Professional
- Windows XP Professional/Home
To insure maximum compatibility when dealing with proprietary file formats, Fone Folio uses document engines from the same native applications that you used to create your files.
So you'll need to have the corresponding application installed for these file types:
- Microsoft® Word 97, 2000, XP or greater
- Microsoft® Excel 97, 2000, XP or greater
- Microsoft® PowerPoint 97, 2000, XP or greater
- Corel WordPerfect® 10 or greater
- Corel Quattro Pro® 10 or greater
- Corel Presentations™ 10 or greater
For all other file types (all generic text formats, Comma Delimited spreadsheet data (.CSV), and all images), Fone Folio is all you need.
Phone requirements
Java clientTo use Fone Folio's smart client software on your mobile phone, it needs to be able to run Java™ applications. If you can download and run games, you most likely have a Java compatible phone. Fone Folio runs on the RIM BlackBerry® under OS 4.0+. Click here for more information.

Some new mobile phones also are MIDP 2.0 capable, but Fone Folio only requires MIDP 1.0.
All MIDP 2.0 capable phones also support MIDP 1.0.
Heap memory is separate from memory used for storage; it's the memory your phone provides to applications to run.
If your phone can't run Java applications, you can still use Fone Folio from your phone's web browser. The requirements are minimal.
